Las Vegas Teacher Runs One Of The Best New Pizza Restaurants
I have never met anyone who doesn’t love pizza. Sure, there are people who won’t indulge in a slice because of the dairy in the cheese. Or, the meat on the pie. But, for the most part, you can always find a pizza restaurant that makes a pie that will fit into your diet. With that in mind, I was surprised to learn that a Las Vegas teacher is now running one of the best new pizza restaurants in town.
Las Vegas Teacher Making Some Of The Best Pizza In Town
Ethan Spiezer is presently a special education Clark County School District teacher at Keller Middle School. After teaching all day, he heads to Town Square to make some of the most acclaimed Neopolitan-style pizza in the Las Vegas valley. That’s according to an article by Mike Allen on Fox5Vegas.com.
In a word, the name of his new restaurant is Solamente. That means “only” in Italian. Why did Spiezer choose that name? According to his new restaurant’s website: “…we believe in the purity and beauty of cuisine that showcases natural flavors with the use of minimal ingredients.” Sounds delicious!
Now, I have not yet visited Solamente Pizza to taste one of his pies. However, his restaurant and pizza crust are getting rave reviews. I checked out Yelp.com and there are truckloads of five-star reviews. I actually lost count of all the glowing reviews. That’s very rare for a new restaurant. So, I’ll certainly have to make the long trip to Town Square one of these days to give this place a try.
How Does This Educator Find Time To Run A Busy Pizza Restaurant?
I guess it’s not incredible that a person who loves food is taking a shot at opening a pizza restaurant in the Las Vegas valley. However, it is tough to receive glowing reviews when you’re competing against so many celebrity chefs. Moreover, what really amazes me, is that Spiezer can accomplish rave reviews while also being a CCSD teacher. How does he find the time?
All I can say is that he must be really tired by Sunday. That’s because Solemente Pizza is only open Wednesday through Saturday. Furthermore, they only remain open from 5 p.m. on those days until they sell out of pizza crusts. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday must be really tiring days for this budding new entrepreneur. Will Spiezer ever quit his day job to open more pizza restaurants around the valley? Only time will tell.
