Vegas Golden Knights Having Lots Of Fun Celebrating With The Stanley Cup
The Vegas Golden Knights’ players and coaches are having a blast this summer celebrating their championship. The Stanley Cup’s travels are taking the trophy all over North America. The trip across the pond to Europe comes later this summer. Let’s see where the Cup has been so far.
Stanley Cup Travels To Hometowns And Adopted Homes
As you know, the Vegas Golden Knights may play in our city, but the players and coaches are from all over the world. With this in mind, it’s natural that these champions would like to celebrate with the Stanley Cup where they grew up. In addition, some have adopted homes where they used to play or coach for other teams.
The entire team started the summer celebration tour with Lord Stanley’s Cup by heading to owner Bill Foley’s golf course and cattle ranch in Montana. They spent the day golfing at Rock Creek Cattle Company’s golf course.
Solo Days With The Championship Trophy
First, forward Nicholas Roy, #10, was the first Golden Knights player to enjoy a day or two with the Cup. He took it to his hometown of Amos, Quebec. He made sure his cat, Pedigree, got a chance to sit in the Stanley Cup as he took photos with his girlfriend, Laurie Pepin.
Second, defenseman Alex Pietrangelo, #7, headed to his former home in St. Louis where he used to play with the Blues. He and his family enjoyed a day on the golf course with the trophy.
Subsequently, Assistant Coach Misha Donskov took the Cup home to Ohio. Head coach Bruce Cassidy headed to his former home on Cape Cod, Massachusetts to celebrate on the beaches there with his family. In similar fashion, VGK President Of Operations, George McPhee, celebrated with his family and friends on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Vegas Assistant Coach John Stevens won the championship twice with the Los Angeles Kings. In like manner, he celebrated the victory this summer on the Jersey Shore with his family and friends.
Take the case of forward Jack Eichel, #9. He headed to his hometown of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Eichel hoisted the trophy and posed for photos with friends on the street where he grew up. There was also a celebration at the ice rink where he began playing.
Then again, forward Ivan Barbashev, #49, and the Stanley Cup, landed on a 175-foot yacht in the water just outside Miami, Florida. Must be nice, right? Forward Phil Kessel, #8, headed to Toronto to join his long-time girlfriend, Sandra. They celebrated their daughter Kapri’s birthday with the championship trophy. Forward Michael Amadio, #22, brought the Cup to his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
