A local Las Vegas restaurant is going to be the subject of a new episode of the Guy Fieri Food Network series. "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" has been on the air for sixteen years, since 2007. And we have discovered a lot of amazing places we want to try, thanks to this show. The latest one is right here in our neighborhood.

Chickpeas Mediterranean Cafe is the featured restaurant on the January 13 episode of the reality series. Fieri taped the episode back in November at the Flamingo location. The segment is called "Smokers, Stove and Skewer" and will air first at 9pm. Additional showings of the same episode will show on future dates. According to the Food Network, it's one of two Las Vegas restaurants Fieri is featuring in the episode. The other one is a BBQ restaurant.

A representative from the restaurant said "we are proud to have been selected and to represent our great city on a national platform," News3lv reported. Of course, Fieri is also a local to Las Vegas, having graduated from UNLV back in 1990. So he should know what he's talking about when it comes to our local cuisine. That... and having his own show on the subject doesn't hurt.

So, we dove in to the nitty gritty of Chickpeas Mediterranean Cafe and got the necessary details to check this place out ourselves. First, there are two locations in Las Vegas. The aforementioned Flamingo location is at 6110 West Flamingo Road. That's at the corner of Jones and Flamingo. There's also a new location in Summerlin at 7668 West Lake Mead Blvd. That's at the corner of Lake Mead Blvd and Buffalo Drive. Some of the menu items are not available at this location.

And if you don't want to wait until the show airs to know what to order, here are some of the local favorites. Enjoy! Wendy Rush
