As crime rates get higher in Las Vegas, more and more families are looking for safe Halloween options for their kids.
Other parents just know that trick-or-treating comes with some unpredictably. Often it’s just easier to get kids their candy fix in one parking lot. Without having to traipse up and down street after street. Asking for candy from people when you don’t really know if they want you there.
Yep, for all these reasons and more, the Trunk-Or-Treat tradition has blown up in Vegas at Halloween time. And, honestly, it’s a lot of fun for the families who are driving the cars too. Because they get to decorate the back of their car in all kinds of Halloween flair. It’s great for people like my friend’s family, who can’t really decorate their place because they live in an apartment.
Others, like my sister, have houses that look like Halloween threw up on it. And it’s still not enough to satisfy the Halloween obsession. So she decorates whatever trunk she can find. Seriously, don’t leave yours open when she’s around. Unless you like driving around with skeletons in your car.
Don’t get me wrong, we have some AMAZING neighborhoods for trick-or-treating in Las Vegas. And we so appreciate those houses that go all out with their decorations. Especially the ones who do it with their whole neighborhood involved. If you have the means to visit one of those this year, definitely do so.
On the other hand, if you have littles that just can’t keep up with the trek that trick-or-treating requires. Or you want to do your candy collecting in an in-and-out-of-there sort of fashion. Or for a third reason I just thought of…you want to get your Halloween candy early and have enough to redistribute on Halloween night. Is that even okay? Asking for a friend.
Anyway, here’s a list of Trunk-or-Treats you can take your kids to in Vegas this year.
