Counting Crows are headed to Las Vegas and we can’t wait!

Counting Crows are known for their concerts. Specifically lead singer Adam Duritz. He brings a passionate energy to the stage that is impossible not to feel from the audience. And the band’s live performances are often very different from their recorded versions. Duritz is known to medley songs or add different lyrics. So each show is unique.

It’s no doubt that Counting Crows will play a lot of their songs from the 90’s at their upcoming show. Their first two albums, August And Everything After and Recovering The Satellites were huge hits with fans. In spite of the fact that they had very different vibes. August And Everything After was fun and playful, with songs like Mr. Jones. While Recovering The Satellites, with hits like A Long December, had a heavier tone. But both albums are typically represented in a Counting Crows concert.

Later albums, like This Desert Life and Hard Candy, brought a few popular songs to the airwaves. Counting Crows have made it a point to play those in concert as well. And you might hear the one song from Somewhere Under Wonderland that had staying power.

In 2019, Duritz revealed that he was writing new music. That produced the latest album Butter Miracle, Suite One in 2021. It is a 4-track EP. Duritz is planning to make a full album out of it with the addition of Butter Miracle, Suite Two. We can expect at least two of those four tracks to be played at the upcoming concert.

The opening act for this show is a very talent English singer songwriter.

Frank Turner first saw music fame as the lead singer of the punk rock band Million Dead. After they broke up in 2005, Turner started a solo career, playing mostly acoustic music. To date, he has released nine solo albums. Although the Counting Crows have enough of their own hits to fill a setlist, we really hope they leave space for at least a handful of Turner‘s songs.

So, if you’re planning to go to the Banshee Season Tour show in September at the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort, here’s what you can expectA little old, a little new, and a little in between. – Wendy Rush
