Acts Of Kindness From Las Vegas Law Enforcement Personnel
You rarely hear about all the good things our dedicated law enforcement personnel perform every single day. Here are some examples of the acts of kindness, concern, and professionalism that have been recognized by the news media and a local casino recently.
According to an article written by Jarah Wright on KTNV.com, two Las Vegas Metro Police Department officers are the most recent recipients of the Resorts World “Good Ticket Award.” Officers Beau Cooley and Jordan Byers recently pulled over a vehicle which had been reported as stolen. It was occupied by a family moving from Texas to Las Vegas who had documents which backed up their claims that they thought they had purchased the vehicle legally.
Unfortunately, they had actually purchased a stolen vehicle which had to be impounded, along with all of their belongings. Officers Cooley and Byers went into their own pockets to secure temporary housing for this family. Then, they spent their own money to buy food and cooking supplies, toys for the kids, and other everyday necessities, and had them delivered to the family. Per Wright’s article, they also helped the father of this family find a job.
I am so happy to hear a story like this, and I am very glad this pair of dedicated law enforcement officers are being recognized for their acts of kindness. Resorts World are hooking them up with a staycation, including vouchers for free food, beverages, and concert tickets. Nice!
Resorts World also provided similar gifts for recent “Good Ticket Award” winners including a dispatcher who reportedly saved the life of a baby who’s mother was in distress. According to the KTNV.com story, they also recognized a corrections officer who de-escalates violent situations. He has been nicknamed the “Inmate Whisperer.”
Thanks to all of our hard-working, dedicated, law enforcement professionals for doing their best to keep us safe in a dangerous world.
