Dead & Company Return To Sphere… But What Are They?!
Obviously Grateful Dead, with roots from the San Francisco Bay area, died when lead vocalist and frontman Jerry Garcia passed away in 1995. But the band never stopped touring, just under different names.
From “The Other Ones” to “The Dead,” surviving band members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart have been staying busy. Back in 2015, they decided to start a new band to jam with.
Enter John Mayer, who has obviously had a boatload of fame on his own. After launching with his debut album Room For Squares, John’s stardom rose almost immediately. He is a phenom on the guitar.
Joining John are Primus and RatDog drummer Jay Lane, bass guitar expert Oteil Burbridge and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. When the collective band Dead & Company return to Sphere Las Vegas in 2025, you can bet it’s going to be jam packed with polo shirts, dad bods and good vibes.
