Get Ready For Formula 1 Fan Fest Road Closures In Las Vegas
As our city gets ready for the Las Vegas Grand Prix to be a part of the Formula 1 racing season in 2023, we get a taste of the action this weekend when Formula 1 Fan Fest comes to town.
According to Formula1.com, there is a free launch party on Saturday, November 5th, which “will bring the spectacle of Formula 1 to the high energy of the famous Las Vegas Strip, and fans will be able to hear the roar of the engines, smell the burning rubber and witness the power of Grand Prix cars up close and personal.”
Some of the sports star drivers will also take part in Formula 1 Fan Fest, including “seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will be joined by his Mercedes team mate George Russell, Red Bull’s four-time Grand Prix winner Sergio Perez, and Williams racer Alex Albon,” per Formula1.com. According to the website, Caesars Palace is the site where most of the festivities and activities will take place, from 11am-11pm on Saturday, November 5th.
According to an article posted by Mick Akers on ReviewJournal.com, the Formula 1 Fan Fest festivities will incur road closures so that the driver demonstration on the Las Vegas Strip can take place. Per Akers’ article: “on Friday, full curb lane closures will be in place starting at 6 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard north and south between Mirage and Planet Hollywood, as water filled barriers for the demonstration course are installed. Those are set to be in place by 5 p.m. That closure will be in effect through Sunday, after crews remove all barriers tied to the event.”
