Tasty Restaurants to Celebrate Your Birthday In Las Vegas

Birthdays are an important day in our lives, because they mark the anniversary of  the day we came into the world. A celebration of our existence, and a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future. It’s your special day! So where do you want to celebrate with a birthday dinner?

Celebrating Your Birthday in Las Vegas

There are some great restaurants in Las Vegas to celebrate your birthday. One of my favorite things is celebrating my birthday with dear friends. The nice thing about Las Vegas is that there is so much to do, and there are so many restaurants. There is something for any pallet.

From the glittering lights, and the swagger of the strip, to those neighborhood gems right around the corner, you get to pick your special birthday restaurant – and I want to help.

Of course, it doesn’t have to just be on your birthday. But I think we all agree that your birthday is a most special day. You’re a year older, your feet are on the ground, and you want to make the best of that, wherever you go.

Tasty Restaurants For Your Birthday

Some of the restaurants on this list may seem odd, or even a little non-traditional, but I never fail to have a great time and a great meal at any of them. Some are smaller restaurants, and better for your more intimate or cozy gatherings.  Others are larger restaurants, and better for the whole gang to gather and have some fun. And some are just plain old good food!

From traditional American, to Italian, to Asian and more, there is something for everyone. Along with some adult beverages, of course, to go along with the food. Because it’s your birthday!

So pick a restaurant, call your friends and family (because they just might pay), put on your fancy birthday hat,  and have a very happy birthday!

  • 1. Oh La La: 2120 N. Rampart

If you’re in the Summerlin area, try this cute little French Bistro – Oh La La. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the amazing food, and their wine list is great – but let them pick one out for you, because there is always something new.

tart with the French Onion Soup, with Gruyere Cheese, or the Brie Croquettes. It’s fabulous! For an entree, the Roast Cornish Hen Provencale, with fingerling potatoes. Tender little hens that are so tasty. The Mussels Marinieres with garlic, shallots, parsley, and white wine – just as good, and fragrant as it sounds. And the Mussels are really hearty. If you’re skipping the meat, the Vegan Herb Aborio Risotto is the way to go! Dessert? The Chocolate mousse, of course!

  • 2. Echo And Rig At Tivoli: 440 S Rampart Blvd

Echo and Rig is my favorite steakhouse in Las Vegas. It’s an amazing place for a party or celebration, or just happy hour. aff is really cool. Enjoy a nice steak paired with a glass of wine.

This steakhouse is every meat lover’s dream. Their cuts of meat are perfection, the aging process is meticulous and the staff is really cool. Enjoy a nice steak paired with a glass of wine, or one of their handcrafted cocktails. Try the Rib Eye Cap (my favorite), or the Filet. For seafood, the Diver Scallops. Some broccolini, mashed potatoes (of course), and a Caesar Salad.

  • 3. Roma Deli II, 8524 W. Sahara

Roma Deli II has been recognized for its outstanding Italian cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. Classic, and modern dishes that use only high quality fresh ingredients. The ambiance is simple Italia! Homemade pasta’s and pastries, that are out of this world. I have a lot of favorites, but the Pollo Milanese, The Cavatelli, the Salmone Ai Gamberi, and their cheese ravioli 9ask for the pink sauce) are outstanding! And do not leave without having a Spumoni Bomba, and/or a Cannoli. They have just the right selection of wines to compliment any meal.

Hawthorn Grill features a really cool bar area, perfect for an after-work or pre-dinner drink; a large, yet still cozy dining room easily accommodating a large party or a romantic date, and an beautiful outdoor patio with a vibrant waterfall surrounded by lush foliage. Definitely split an order of truffle fries. Then onto the Applewood Smoked 1/2 Chicken. • 5. Benihana at The Westgate

Benihana at the Westgate is a bit of an institution in Las Vegas. And Benihana is more than just a restaurant, it’s an adventure! You have a front row seat to watch your food prepared in a Japanese exhibition style. Start with a scrumptious appetizer and work your way up. Try the Ocean Treasure: Grilled cold water lobster tail with grilled Hokkaido scallops and colossal shrimp. Enjoy it all with a Lychee Blossom, or a Red Plum Sake Sangria. But definitely pay the couple extra bucks and take home the Tiki glass!

  • 6. Nine Thai Kitchen, 8470 W. Desert Inn Rd.

This might seem like an odd choice, but Nine Thai Kitchen is a tiny little restaurant with great Thai food. It’s a little hidden – in a strip mall shopping center – but it’s worth checking out. Their Tom Yum soup is some of the best. Get it as spicy – or not spicy – as you’d like. Keep in mind if you go spicy, expect a little water in the eyes. Try their veggie spring rolls, and veggie potstickers. Then move on to the pineapple, fried rice, and the lemon chicken. Like I say, a tiny restaurant, not a lot of tables, but the food is absolutely fantastic, and the staff is so friendly. And they will modify a lot of things to your liking. No alcohol, yet. they are in the process of finally getting a liquor license.

  • 7. El Segundo Sol, Fashion Show Mall

El Segundo Sol is like wandering through Mexico City and discovering an authentic hidden taqueria. They offer a menu of authentic Mexican staples inspired by excursions to the southern states of Mexico, starting with tableside guacamole and signature tacos made from top-quality ingredients.

Delicious menu highlights include smaller Mexican bites like homemade tamales and traditional entrees such as fajita platters, enchiladas and carne asada. They also have a superb happy hour menu, with some of the best Margaritas I’ve ever had! A beautiful view of the Las Vegas strip doesn’t hurt either!

  • 8. DW Bistro, 9275 W. Russell Rd.

DW Bistro is a Caribbean restaurant that serves up dishes inspired by Jamaican and New Mexican cuisine. It’s one of Las Vegas’ best kept secrets. Located at The Gramercy in the Southwest Valley,  A marriage of flavors like jerk spice and green chilies, DW Bistro’s food  is boldly flavored yet simply prepared, in a bright and inviting setting, or a beautiful open patio area. I like the Jerk Fried Chicken. Come with their great house made cornbread and seasonal greens, finished with honey. GREAT cocktails! Try the GT&T: Pacific House gin, fresh grapefruit, basil, Jamaican grapefruit Ting pink soda, tonic, lemon peel. Or, the Jamaican Mojito: Bacardi spiced rum, guava purée, strawberry, mint, ginger syrup, and Jamaican ginger beer.
