As 2022 comes to an end we want to relive our TOP 10 best moments with you. It’s because of you these stories are a success. We thought it was only right that we relive them once more for good time sake.
It was a busy year for team KKLZ as we continued our legacy in providing you the best hits of the ’80s, ’90s and more!
We participated in many events over the past year and here are a few we wanted to highlight:
We held our 6th Annual Mike and Carla’s Project: H2O Water Drive, in partnership with the Salvation Army and Port of Subs, where we donated 1,600 cases of water to our neighbors in Southern Nevada.
Carla Rea met many of our fabulous listeners at Diva’s Day Out 2022 where we shopped till we dropped at the World Market Center.
The Mike and Carla Morning Show cheered runners on for Scale The Strat in raising awareness for the American Lung Association.
Mike O’Brian met up with some listeners for the T-Mobile Arena showing of Roger Waters where we partied in a suite to “Go Fishing”, “Three Wishes” and “Each Small Candle.”
We gave away tickets to many of your favorite shows including: The Strokes, Styx, Elton John, P!NK and many many other talented artists.
We held out first cluster radio event called Paws In The Park 2022 at Desert Breeze Park. We couldn’t have done it without Best Mattress, KTNV, NSPCA, and Clark County Parks and Recreation. Over 100 dogs got adopted from our event and we couldn’t be happier.
We partnered with The Salvation Army of Southern Nevada for their Giving Tree program. Children from different age groups wish for toys on Giving Tree cards and heroes like you help grant them. Each child from our Giving Tree was able to receive $250 from all of the donations and funds raised.
We closed the year with our annual Mike and Carla’s Jingle Bell Rock, in partnership with Meineke – Doing Car Care Right, where one lucky listener had the chance to win $10,000 if they could find the physical Jingle Bell Rock. One lucky couple figured out our clues and found the Jingle Bell Rock.
