It's been quite the year, so from us to you, we say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...we made it through 2023! Good Lord...a lot happened this year and we thank you for listening to The Mike & Carla Morning Show!

Can't believe we made it through another ! For me, this will be my 38th year of doing mornings in Las Vegas! What's even more amazing is that most of these years have been spent doing them with Carla Rea! Being able to finish what we started a few years back at the other station down the street...it's been an amazing ride!

We're so glad that a lot of you have stuck with us and have enjoy our shenanigan's in the morning each weekday! You think about it, we've been through some stuff haven't we? In good times and in bad, all we've tried to do is put a smile on your face whether you were going to work or coming home.

You think about this past year and it had a little bit of everything. The Vegas Golden Knights brought home the Stanley Cup! Can you believe it? The frickin' Stanley Cup in Las Vegas! So totally amazing...and to top that off, the Las Vegas Aces repeat as WNBA Champions! That's right, they repeated as champs!

Back in February, we all "Scaled The Strat"! 108 flights of stairs...it seemed to look a lot easier on paper. But we did and looking forward to doing it again in 2024.

We served up Tacos and Tamales with the Clark County Park and Recreation Department...then collected bottled water for the Salvation Army. Over 100,000 bottles, which might seem like a lot, but it never is is it?

"Paws In The Park", Disneyland, all the concert tickets we gave away and went to ourselves. It's been quite the year. And the comedy shows...THANK YOU HENDERSON!

And of course wrapped it up with the World Famous "JINGLE BELL ROCK"! The winners found it sooner than expected, but they were great! They've been looking for it for YEARS!

A salute to 2023 and looking forward to a better 2024...The M&C Morning Show is off until Tuesday, January 2nd. So, Merry Christmas, enjoy the holidays with family and friends. Have fun, but remember, be careful, be safe and BE KIND TO EACH OTHER!

2023 Recap: Relive Our Top 10 Best Moments

2023 was a year of improvement and growth for 96.3 KKLZ. As we close out the year, we want to share with you our TOP 10 best moments! We wouldn't be here without you, so let's relive them once more to remember all that we have accomplished together.

No matter how busy we become, our goal is to continue to provide the best hits of the '80s, '90s and more!

We hosted and participated in many local events this year. Let's look over a few specials ones that stood out amongst the rest.

The first annual We-Do Redo Vow Renewal took place at the Legacy Club inside Circa Las Vegas where 96 couples renewed their vows. A night to remember filled with love, laughter, dancing and elegance.

Mike O'Brian not only cheered but ran up 108 flights of stairs for Scale The Strat in raising funds and awareness for the American Lung Association.

Beasley Las Vegas teamed up with Clark County Parks & Recreation for the annual, Tacos and Tamales festival which took place at Desert Breeze Park. This community event is one we can't live without now.

We held our 7th Annual Mike and Carla's Project: H2O Water Drive, in partnership with the Salvation Army and Port of Subs, where we donated 115,234 water bottles to our neighbors in Southern Nevada.

In celebration of the Vegas Golden Knights winning the NHL Stanley Cup, we broadcasted LIVE from BrewDog for the BIG victory parade. #GoKnightsGo

We gave away tickets to many of your favorite shows including: Sting, Billy Idol, Gin Blossoms and many many other talented artists. We can't forget our Disneyland Resort family four pack giveaways that made you, our listeners, light up with joy.

Halloween was even bigger this year for us. We teamed up with our sister stations and Clark County Parks and Recreation to host Monster Mash at The Crossing Church. We witnessed fabulous costumes, lots of candy and our community coming together for a night of fun.

Paws In The Park returned for it's second annual at Desert Breeze Park. We couldn't have done it without NSPCA and Clark County Parks and Recreation. Special thank you to The702Firm, Cameron Law and Eric Roy. Over 50 dogs got adopted from our event which warms our heart.

Carla Rea hosts a Facebook LIVE every morning around 5:30 a.m. She has since grown a loyal following called the Facebook Live Crew. Carla met up with the FL Crew for a lunch at a local casino for laughs and bonding. Many of the members of the FL Crew dressed in custom-made "Jokes, Laugh, Repeat" and "#REA-niac" shirts.

Mike and Carla were invited by Mickey, Minnie and the Disneyland Resort for their holiday preview and LIVE broadcast for Festival of Holidays. Mike and Carla got to sneak peek at all of the festivities that were coming to the Disneyland Resort.

We closed the year with our annual Mike and Carla's Jingle Bell Rock, in partnership with Meineke - Doing Car Care Right, where one lucky listener had the chance to win $10,000. An amazing family figured out our secret clues, found and returned the Jingle Bell Rock. Congratulations to Angela, Johanna, Logan and Melissa!

We are really looking forward to 2024 and getting to experience all of the fun adventures. Thank you for listening to us and staying dedicated. You mean the world to us! #TEAMKKLZERS4LIFE #CARLASBOOBS
