Could Toys ‘R’ Us Stores Return To Las Vegas
Do you like to get your Christmas shopping done way early? With about five months to go until Santa’s big day, there is good news on the horizon. Shopping for the kids on your gift list will be a lot easier now that Toys ‘R’ Us is returning…but in a whole new way!
After being inundated with financial troubles, the legendary chain closed all of its stores in 2018. Now, thanks to Macy’s, they will return as a “store within a store.” According to NPR.org, these new Toys ‘R’ Us venues will range in size from 1000 square feet up to 10,000 square feet and they will be stocked with toys the kids will love.
Unfortunately, there is no word yet on whether the Macy’s stores in Southern Nevada will be part of these planned openings. Per the NPR.org article by Wynne Davis, the plan is to begin opening these locations this fall at Macy’s flagship stores in “Atlanta, Chicago, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco.”
Macy’s has locations here in the Las Vegas valley in Downtown Summerlin, The Galleria at Sunset, Meadows Mall, and Fashion Show Las Vegas. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that Vegas is on Santa’s “nice list.”
