Time definitely does fly by! It’s that time of the year where we spring forward! We’re all tired of daylight savings time and hoping that the bill will be passed to do away with it. Until that happens, we’re back at it this weekend!

On Sunday, we spring forward! For some people, it’s not an issue. For other, it’s a whole ordeal! People say it messes with their schedule! But don’t worry! There are little things you can do to help your mind and body prepare for the time change. It’s little things, but if you do all of them, it’s almost certain you’ll be fine the day after we spring forward!

If you’re one of these people who struggle losing that extra hour this time of year, below are five tips you can follow or do. These tips and suggestions will help you get through it. It will help feel revitalized and ready to start your day on Monday! It’s good to start as early as possible. LIKE TODAY! If you start to do these things, by Monday you’ll be fully adjusted!

  • Cut Out Caffeine

    Don’t have any form of caffeine at least six hours before you go to bed! This is something you may want to do on a normal basis, but especially if you struggle with the time change, cut it out!

  • Cut Out Alcohol

    You may want to not consume alcohol this weekend. One drink can ruin your sleep.

  • Don't Over Eat

    Two or three hours before bed, don’t eat. Eating before bed will also hinder your quality of sleep!

  • Prepare Your Bed

    Before the time change, change those sheets and blankets! Go to bed with fresh and clean bedding. And those phones and tables, leave them alone! This will help you have a better nights sleep and help with adjusting to the time change.

    Making Bed

  • Go To Bed Early

    Going to bed early now will help you gradually adjust to the time change, instead of just doing it the night before we spring forward. Go to bed at least 15 to 30 minutes earlier starting now. If you do, you’ll feel more adjusted to the time difference on Monday.
