Southern Nevada’s Most Expensive Neighborhoods

I may never be able to afford to live in one of these beautiful, but expensive neighborhoods, but it's nice to dream!

The fact that Las Vegas and Henderson are surrounded by hills and mountains gives community planners some very good areas on which to build large estate homes and mansions. The views of our city and the world famous Las Vegas Strip from a luxury home perched atop one of those high desert regions can cost upwards of $1 million dollars. A mansion in one of those gated, guarded, luxury communities, can cost up to $20 million bucks!

We are starting to see more and more famous celebrities move to the Las Vegas Valley. And now that we have two major league sports teams that call Las Vegas home, we are seeing those Las Vegas Raiders and Vegas Golden Knights players purchase estate homes in some of the expensive neighborhoods you'll see when you scroll down.

Our city has been home to great entertainers throughout its history. Now that most of the major casinos offer multi-million dollar contracts to performers for residency shows, those entertainers would surely want to live in a luxury home in one of these expensive neighborhoods.

Then, of course, there are the gaming executives who are pulling down those big bonuses. They are certainly rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous professional athletes, celebrities, and entertainers in these exclusive communities.

So what do these expensive neighborhoods, scattered around Las Vegas and Henderson, have in common? They are all guard-gated, they offer custom-built homes, and most are situated on or near beautiful golf courses. Not a bad lifestyle if you can afford it. Heck, I can't even afford to golf on one of those luxury courses. I'm not complaining. I'm just sayin'...

This is an award-winning master-planned community located in the southern foothills of the Las Vegas valley. Many of the neighborhoods in this community are guard-gated. You've got the Southern Highlands Golf Club situated within its borders. The semi-custom and custom homes feature Mediterranean and Tuscan style architecture. Lots of gaming execs call Southern Highlands home.

This exclusive community is a bit of a newcomer to the "expensive neighborhood" list. Located on the edge of Summerlin, The Summit Club lots offer great views of the Las Vegas valley, the community is guard-gated, and there is a golf club and clubhouse offering "5-star amenities."

This Summerlin neighborhood features a section called "Billionaire's Row!" That ought to tell you something about the homes here. It's guard-gated, and many homes are situated right there on the famous TPC Summerlin golf course. Homes start in the $1 million dollar range. Custom-built mansions in Country Club Hills can go for over $20 million bucks!

We travel into Henderson for one of that city's most expensive neighborhoods. By its name, you can tell that Anthem Country Club is a master-planned community built around a top-notch golf course and clubhouse. This is another guard-gated community, with homes reaching into the 7-figure range.

Spanish Hills is one of the original "exclusive neighborhoods" for celebrities, performers, and high-powered executives. It is located in southwest Las Vegas and built on an elevation which offers amazing views of "The Strip." Homes here range in size from 4,000-8,000 square feet, but there are mansions offering more than 10,000 square feet of living space too.

There are many custom luxury homes built by some of the most renowned home builders around. Then there's the Bear's Best Las Vegas golf course, resident-only clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pool and sports courts for that active lifestyle. Sounds nice!

This is a renowned master-planned community offering homes in the multi-million dollar range. Dragon Ridge Country Club is located within the MacDonald Highlands borders. There are lots up for grabs in the SkyVu neighborhood which offer amazing views of the city. This prestigious guard-gated community has seen record sales throughout the years.
