…and Don’t Talk To Strangers, and I’ve Done Everything For You. Singer songwriter Rick Springfield recently announced he’s coming to Las Vegas. The Australian-American musician will be at The STRAT Theater at The STRAT Hotel in Las Vegas for two shows in March of 2023. Although it’s only two dates, he’s calling it his Las Vegas residency.
Springfield has not only won our hearts as a musician, but as an actor too. Most of us know him from the screen as Noah Drake on General Hospital. But Springfield appeared in many shows beyond that. He starred in the movie Hard To Hold (1984) and television show High Tide (1994 to 1997). He also had supporting roles in Ricki and The Flash (2015) and True Detective (2015). And we’ve seen him play himself in things like Californication and Hot In Cleveland. Though my personal fave is Springfield playing Lucifer in Supernatural.
As a musician, Rick Springfield has been nominated four times for a Grammy Award. He won the Best Rock Male Vocal Performance Grammy Award for his megahit Jessie’s Girl in 1982. Springfield started playing guitar at the age of thirteen and joined his first band Rockhouse at nineteen.
Rick Springfield is a lot of fun in concert. Even though he’s been at it for over fifty years, he still has a great time on stage and brings a lot of energy to his shows. He’s also a great guitar player. Very underrated in his skill, many have said. He delivers a very electrifying performance.
Tickets for the show at The STRAT are starting at just $75. There is also a VIP option which includes a lot of goodies. Including a premium ticket in the party pit section, a Rick Springfield meet and greet at soundcheck, an autographed poster, VIP photo, early entry and more.
In most recent shows, here’s the setlist Springfield has brought to the stage. It’s subject to change at the upcoming show, but you’ll still get a lot of these greats in Las Vegas.
