Jimmy Buffett is back in Las Vegas.

And Parrotheads are excited! Hawaiian shirts are flying off the racks and Margaritaville has been booked for reservations for at least two days. They're doing all the necessary traditions to really celebrate a Jimmy Buffett visit.

In his fifty plus years of entertaining people, Buffett has become the human equivalent of a cult classic. His concerts are something that has to be experienced at least once. Of course, if you're a Parrothead, you've seen them all.

Speaking of Parrotheads, do you know what famous musician coined that term? I just found out. Get the whole story here.

So what can you expect from a Jimmy Buffett concert? Fans say they're not the explosive parties they used to be. Buffett and his OG Parrotheads are in their 70's. So the party is more like a chill get-together with some really great music. But it's still something that must be seen, even by those who don't love Buffett's songs.

Above all, a Jimmy Buffett concert is FUN!

Because the fans are fun! And Jimmy Buffett LOVES his fans. Some might say it was Buffett's extreme business savvy that got him so popular. It didn't hurt, for sure. He has restaurants, books, video games, beer, football teams... All with the tropical theme that Buffett has built his empire on.

But it's Buffett's rapport with the crowd that keeps them coming back. He's the best party host. His music is what he has called "drunken Caribbean Rock & Roll" (wikipedia.org). It's stuff you want to sing along to, especially when you've had a few drinks. Buffett's music is pretty much the American equivalent of the German beer songs.

So whether you're a loyal follower or not, if you're going to the show, you're going to have fun. And just to get you ready (so you know some of the words to sing), here's what you can expect for the playlist. - Wendy Rush
