We don’t know when it happened, we don’t know how it happened… but it happened. Creating the perfect social media splash with a (usually) funny and (usually) well produced video to get people talking about your team. The NFL schedule drop has become an arms race of creativity.

Some of them have certainly been better than others… but when the Los Angeles Chargers released their anime video last year, they set fire to the league. Tons of burns and Easter eggs that would make the most ardent fan of the league giggle.

Yes, gone are the days of posting a simple text filled image to Instagram. Now teams and their social media departments are in full scramble mode, creating theatrical and hilarious videos that poke fun at their competition (and themselves). It is all part of the never-ending journey that is the NFL. When the season ends, the combines begin. When those end, the draft begins. When that ends the schedule is released. When that’s released, before you know it, camps begin and the season is underway soon after.

Some teams mail it in a bit, but sometimes even the most basic video are the funniest. This year’s video from #31 probably took the least amount of time to make, but created the most buzz.

You could scour the internet by your lonesome, trying to find every team’s best efforts to see who reigns supreme… or you can just click through this page and see them all. We did the hard work for you and watched all the videos… for better or worse. They can’t all be winners (just like the NFL season itself) but some are certainly more funny and creative than others. So, without further delay…

Take a look at the best NFL Team’s schedule announcement (in alphabetical order by city)…

  • Arizona Cardinals - ⭐

They made a video. It wasn’t good, but they made one.

  • Atlanta Falcons - ⭐⭐

It’s a very meta social media announcement. A lot of effort… a lot of faces you might know from TikTok… just kind of drags.

  • Baltimore Ravens - ⭐⭐

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCFLIT_Vi6g

Can’t blame them for an on-the-nose video. After a long wait, they got their QB signed to a long term contract. Might as well set your sights on him.

  • Buffalo Bills - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

THIS is what we are talking about. Is it the best writing? Maybe not, but it got the whole team involved and doing things they wouldn’t normally be seen doing. Love the effort.

  • Carolina Panthers - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

YES! Alright, a ton of creativity. Putting their long snapper (who talks about the long snapper) front and center. A ton of creative ideas. This is outstanding.

  • Chicago Bears - ⭐⭐⭐

It feels like Chicago, it co-stars WWE superstar Seth Rollins… and we are here for it. We’re in “like” with it.

  • Cincinnati Bengals - ⭐⭐

Eh. They… filmed and stuff. Just feels like they couldn’t get the team together to something a little grander. Hopefully their season goes better than this video.

  • Cleveland Browns - ⭐⭐⭐

Speaking of WWE cameos, The Miz makes a vocal appearance in this video for the Browns. A lot of effort, it’s cute, and if you’re a wrestling fan you’re probably geeking out.

  • Dallas Cowboys - ⭐⭐⭐

This video probably came two seasons too late. Yellowstone was a phenomenon, but this season seems to be cut short due to a star that doesn’t want to star and viewer apathy. But… hey… cameos.

  • Denver Broncos - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This video is a mix of a “behind the scenes at Sportscenter” video and an episode of The Office. Starring Peyton Manning and actress Angela Kinsey who played Angela in The Office… it’s got digs, it references a show that is still beloved. Here for it.

  • Detroit Lions - ⭐

Ooof. We all know funny videos always start with a warning about how the thing they are about to do they don’t condone at all. Super. They meant well, and AI is topical, but the video feels like it is 40 minutes long.

  • Green Bay Packers - ⭐

B+ on the concept, but F on the execution. If you’re going to make it like an “As Seen On TV” ad, get the guy from Slap Chop involved or something. This is just lazy.

  • Houston Texans - ⭐⭐⭐

It’s got a “feel” for Houston and while it’s not particularly funny, we appreciate it.

  • Indianapolis Colts - ⭐⭐

Tipping the scales at nearly 10 minutes long, this one struggles to get to the point as players eat their way through the schedule.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We LOVE this premise. The Jaguars blew people away last season. Well… according to this video… the entire season, and league, is scripted. Love the concept, and great execution.

  • Kansas City Chiefs - ⭐⭐

A disappointing video from your Super Bowl Champs. We are guessing they were too hungover to come up with something more creative.

  • Las Vegas Raiders - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A bunch of cameos, your new and handsome quarterback, and even an appearance by their sports-sisters in the Las Vegas Aces. Solid effort with a little of everything.

  • Los Angeles Chargers - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A premise so nice, they did it twice. This is the last time they can get away with the anime bit, though.

  • Los Angeles Rams - ⭐⭐

The Atlanta Falcons called, they want their mailed in premise back. The Chargers called, they laughed.

  • Miami Dolphins - ⭐⭐

It’s a basic premise, done pretty basically. Cute but… not great.

  • Minnesota Vikings - ⭐⭐⭐

If this was the first drone video of its kind, we would be floored. It’s not. We’ve seen this sort of thing a bunch. Still pretty awesome but… not blown away.

Also, an honorary mention for some of the players kids who made their own video. A video that was so close to the premise that won this year. But that’s coming up…

  • New England Patriots - ⭐⭐⭐

Former Patriot Devin McCourty joins the other Patriots retirees for this one… although unless you’re a diehard you won’t notice them all. Tom Brady appears at the end. It’s alright!

  • New Orleans Saints - ⭐⭐⭐

Oof. Do these teams check with each other to see if they have the same bit?! It’s pretty much the Jaguars video… we’ll give the edge to the Jags, mostly because the team made it so you can’t embed the video here. If there was ever an easy way to admit defeat, that’s it.

  • New York Giants - ⭐⭐⭐

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qq6jH1fUsAs

We actually like this idea a lot. Get the guys out of their element, make us laugh. It’s cute.

  • New York Jets - ⭐⭐

Apparently their new big money quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not available… so they turned to a professional Geoguessr player to spot the sites for each game of the schedule. He’s cool, the video is not.

  • Philadelphia Eagles - ⭐

We love dogs as much as the next person, but you’re not dogs. You’re eagles. If this dog video was any sadder, Sarah McLachlan would be in it.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers - ⭐⭐⭐

When you run out of ideas about how to announce your schedule, be meta and talk about how to make a release video. We’ll let it slide. Just this once.

  • San Francisco 49ers - ⭐⭐

A 49ers rap to get us ready for the season. Not much when it comes to players but not a terrible rap. They won’t let us embed it though, which means they are ashamed. Two stars.

  • Seattle Seahawks - ⭐⭐

The kids are cute, but this is slapped together. And once again so close to the one that took the year.

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers - ⭐⭐

The kids are cute, but this is slapped together. And once again so close to the one that took the year.

  • Tennessee Titans - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

OK. There’s two. The first one… it’d get a 3 from us. Keith Urban is in it. WWE superstart Sheamus is in it. It’s well filmed but it’s… yeah. Just boring.

But THIS is the real one, and won the year. It’s obvious they had the well produced one in their back pocket, but they wanted to see if they can get gold from the well lubricated visitors of Nashville. Never send children to do a drunk person’s job. We present to you… this year’s winner:
