Las Vegas Named One Of The Best Cities For Halloween
Las Vegas has been named one of the best cities for Halloween! Of course, that shouldn’t be a surprise!
There’s always a lot to do in Vegas for Halloween and tons of parties to choose from to show off your costume. WalletHub recently came out with its list of the Best Cities For Halloween in 2024 and Las Vegas came in at number 4 on the list!
Is Las Vegas One Of The Best Cities For Halloween?
To find the best cities for Halloween, WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities in the United States across 20 key metrics. Those metrics range from costume stores per capita to crime rate and share of potential trick-or-treat stops.
Chip Lupo, a WalletHub analyst, says, “Halloween holds a big place in American popular culture, and we collectively spend billions of dollars celebrating every year. At the same time, it’s also a holiday that comes with a certain amount of risk, given that children visit strangers’ houses in the dark. The best cities for Halloween are those that provide the safest conditions for celebrating, along with an abundance of activities, Halloween-related stores, and good weather.” Las Vegas seems to fit that bill! No wonder the city came in at number 4 on the list. Vegas had a total score of 59.25 but was first in the country for Halloween run rank. Again, that’s no surprise. However, it was brought down by its Halloween weather score, which was 93.
New York City, New York came in first place on WalletHub‘s list. It had the second best Trick-Or-Treater friendliness score, which is a surprise given the stereotypes about New Yorkers being blunt. Has that finally been put to rest?
Where are the worst cities for Halloween? According to WalletHub, the worst city on the list was Memphis, Tennessee, which had an overall score of 29.81. It came in dead last for Trick-Or-Treater friendliness, so that’s something to note and be aware of. Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Nashville, Tennessee, were also at the bottom of WalletHub‘s list.
