Did A Plane Catch Fire At Harry Reid International Airport?

According to 8 News Now, the Frontier Flight 1326 left San Diego and video posted to social media shows flames and smoke coming from underneath the plane as it lands at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Thankfully, it sounds like the pilots detected smoke, declared an emergency, and were able to land the plane safely. Why did the plane catch fire? That remains to be unanswered and is currently being investigated. Imagine being on that flight! You’re casually looking out the window when you see fire, and you’re that high up in the sky. According to NBC News, the incident happened around 4:20 pm local time, and a ground stop was in effect at the airport until 7 pm on Saturday.
TMZ reports that there were 190 passengers on board the flight out of San Diego, California, heading for Las Vegas, Nevada. Again, all people aboard the flight were uninjured and got off the flight safely. It sounds like it was also reported that the tires blew, which would make landing even more scary! Now, the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating what caused the accident. Hopefully, more information comes to light soon.
