Is there anything that screams “luxury” more than a piece of tender meat paired with perfect sides that enhance the flavor of the exquisite cut of steak.
There are tons of options to choose from when it comes to a steak night! However, not all places are equal.
You can either go with a chain restaurant or an independently owned establishment. And most of the time, we’re proponents of helping independent restaurateurs.
The publication Eat This, Not That recently came out with an article about the most-popular independent steakhouses in America. If you’re a Vegas local, or a seasoned Vegas veteran, then you know that we have some of the best steakhouses in America.
Throughout the city, a plethora of eateries offer different styles and cuts of steaks that can completely alter your steak-going experience — in the best of ways, of course. However, this particular steakhouse is one of the most popular in the United States, grossing nearly $26 million in 2021, according to the publication and Vital Vegas. And its “independently owned” status makes this large-dollar figure even more impressive.
So, what mysterious restaurant holds the place for second-most popular, independent steakhouse in the U.S.?
Well, it’s no other than Top of the World restaurant!
This place is the epitome of fine dining, Vegas style. It’s located on the 106th floor of The Strat’s tower, giving attendees a panoramic view of the Las Vegas skyline. According to Eat This, Not That, the average cost of the check is about $133. In 2021, this steakhouse/Americana eatery served over 210,000 meals, which makes sense why the restaurant made over $25 million. One of the biggest splurges on the menu is the prime tomahawk chop, which will run you about $175.
Now, you may be asking: What was the first most-popular, independent steakhouse in America? It’s Maple & Ash in Chicago. This eatery is owned by two Michelin star chef Danny Grant.
Well, despite not having the first place when it comes to this list, Vegas locals know that our steakhouses are unlike any other! At the end of the day, enjoying a nice steak is an accomplishment and simple joy in life that we shouldn’t take for granted.
