Billy Idol: Granddad, New Music, And What An Actor
He is a proud grandfather. He is a frequent performer in Las Vegas in the Chelsea Showroom at The Cosmopolitan, with new music to perform. He’s an actor (kinda), who is fondly remembered for his cameo in the Adam Sandler – Drew Barrymore romantic comedy film, “The Wedding Singer.” He is BILLY IDOL!

Billy Idol’s cameo in “The Wedding Singer,” is fondly remembered by all fans of that movie and 80’s music. The soundtrack from that movie is one of my favorites, and I still think that is one of Adam Sandler’s best movies. Here is a video clip of Billy Idol playing himself in that film.
Billy Idol has a son named Willem Wolf and a daughter named Bonnie Blue. His daughter has given birth to two daughters in the past few years making Billy a two-time grandfather.
He has had his ups and downs throughout his career. He has admittedly had problems with drugs and alcohol in the past. He also had a very bad motorcycle accident back in 1990 in which he nearly lost one of his legs. He has persevered through the trials and tribulations of a rock and roll career and he has emerged as a true rock legend. Even though he has never won a Grammy Award, and even though he has never been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, he still ROCKS!
