Sunday 03/06/22:  Casey Kasem counts down the biggest hits in the U.S.A. on March 9, 1974, when "Blazing Saddles" was making theater audiences LOL!

"Blazing Saddles" was directed by Mel Brooks, and written by Brooks, Richard Pryor, Andrew Bergman, Norman Steinberg, and Alan Uger.  It starred Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder.  It co-starred Alex Karras, Slim Pickens, David Huddleston, Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, and Harvey Korman.  It's ranked at #6 on the American Film Institute's 100 Years...100 Laughs.  In 2006, the film was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry.
