Clark County Schools to Close Beginning Monday
All schools in Nevada are being closed under the order of Governor Steve Sisolak. The closures aimed at mitigating the spread of COVID-19. Clark County schools will be closed beginning Monday. The school will be closed until at least April 6. This includes all public, private and charter schools in the state. Sisolak made the announcement during a briefing in Las Vegas at the Grant Sawyer Building. Two school unions had asked the district to close over concerns of coronavirus. Superintendent Jesus Jara said Clark County School District employees will continue to be paid while schools are closed.
