Nevada Keeps Covid-19 Restrictions to Jan. 15, Vaccines Arrive Monday
Governor Steve Sisolak provided an update on Nevada’s COVID-19 response and vaccine distribution plans amid an unrelenting surge that has spared no part of the state.
The Governor is keeping current restrictions on businesses and gatherings in place until Jan. 15. Democrat Steve Sisolak said Sunday that amid an unrelenting COVID-19 surge, he planned to maintain capacity limits for restaurants, gyms, casinos, and private gatherings in place. Sisolak also announced plans to extend Nevada’s eviction moratorium through March. The number of cases, deaths, and hospitalizations continues to rise in the state despite the measures, which were put in place three weeks ago. About 3 out of every 10 coronavirus cases and deaths in Nevada have been reported in the three weeks since his Nov. 22 announcement.
