Fast forward to 2017, we have an NHL franchise, followed by a WNBA team, an NFL team and soon, Major League Baseball will be a part of the city’s landscape! Not to mention, the Vegas Golden Knights have already won the Stanley Cup, the Las Vegas Aces have won back to back WNBA Championship…just a matter of time before the others follow suit!

According to an article in Bloomberg, more and more people are avoiding the move to California. High taxes, traffic, and the cost of living, it’s no wonder fewer people are making the move out west. However, the good news, they are putting on the breaks and stopping in Las Vegas and Phoenix!
There are really only seven major cities that the population has grown over the last year. On the flipside, cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco…even Chicago has seen their population go down according to the article.
The article also points out that despite the ups and downs, some are even making the move to the south. Again, stats showing that since 2020, the south’s population has grow almost 40%
