AEROSMITH formed in Boston, Massachusetts back in 1970, with the main line-up through the years including Steven Tyler on vocals, Joe Perry on lead guitar, Tom Hamilton on bass, Joey Kramer on drums, and Brad Whitford on guitar. They are the best-selling American hard rock band in history with 25 Gold albums, 18 Platinum albums, and 12 multi-Platinum albums. They have achieved 21 top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and they’ve won four Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, and ten MTV Video Music Awards. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. They were also the first band in history to have a Guitar Hero game named after them. In 2008, Activision released Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and according to Activision-Blizzard CEO, sales of this game has made more money for the band than any sales of their previous albums.
