As we enter a new year of 2023, it was asked, what 10 “uncommon” things should be considered normal nowadays? Let’s be honest, it’s 2023 and we just need to take the stigma out of a few things that most people think as taboo. For example, splitting the check on dates…is it really up to the guy to always pay for the date?
According to a recent article put out by BuzzFeed/AskWomen, that’s actually one thing that made the list that most people would like to see as “normal” this year. I mean what’s wrong with “splitting the check”, especially if it’s understood before the date? C’mon, we both had a good time, we ate, we drank, we talked all night long, let’s just split the check! What’s the big deal?
Although it’s thought to be a little weird, what’s wrong with bringing your own food to a party or even an outing? Considering the fact that there might be allergies to worry about, one more thing that should be considered “normal” in the year 2023!
More and more workers are pushing for the “4 day work week”! Once considered a bargaining chip for employers, this is another thing that should be considered normal throughout…working 4 ten hour shifts and then left to enjoy that 3 day weekend!
Now one we might not agree with is “dressing to impress”! We’re talking about when you have to fly somewhere, enough with the pajamas and carrying the pillow with your carry-on…just put some decent clothes on! Even dining out, leave the sports jersey and baseball hat at home…have some respect for the place you’re going to eat and those that work there.
So what are those Top 5 things that really need to go away and considered “normal” as we head into a new year? First of all, think of all the things you like to do, whether it be alone or with someone else or even with a group of people. Things that others would give you grief about just because you thought it was okay…well, it’s time for everyone to get on board. So scroll down and see the Top 5 normal things that truly need to go away…and enjoy!
