Loudest States: Where Does The State Of Nevada Rank?
We tend to be a very loud country, but when it comes to the loudest states, where does the state of Nevada rank? Right off the bat you would think we would be very loud. With the Las Vegas Strip, the clubs, outdoor concerts and stuff.
We can tell you that according to a recent article in Newsweek, we found it a little odd that Nevada is not even in the Top 10? It’s like, “what the heck?”
Even The Mike & Carla Morning Show found it very interesting that states like Rhode Island and Connecticut were ranked louder than our Silver State! The survey even took into consideration stuff like traffic noise, construction…heck, even in the city of Las Vegas you would think there’d be enough noise to rank us higher.
Loudest States: Where Does Nevada Rank?
We can tell you that the Garden State of New Jersey holds the title of the “Loudest” state in the country. With a score of 52.87, clearly the people there love to yell over the construction, traffic and music to the point where they are #1!
Rounding out the Top 5, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida and then Rhode Island! Even Florida is louder than us!
Although this all seems a little suspect, however, the article did point out that the New England area tends to score high in this survey because of the population density. Ah, that’s what it is huh?
Now, on the flipside, if you’re looking for a little piece and quite, take a guess #1 when it comes to quiet! Followed by Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and Kansas rounding out that Top 5.
So, where does the great state of Nevada rank in all this? Based on the score of 27.92, we seem to be in the lower half. We also seem to be the noisy neighbor state. California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico all scored lower than us!
