The sizes of the drums decrease from left to right. Each bass drum skin has a "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" logo printed on it.

Beatles fans will be sad to learn that a Cirque du Soleil show based on that legendary band's catalog of music will be closing after an 18-year run on the Las Vegas Strip. Get ready to say farewell to “The Beatles Love.”

“The Beatles Love” Will Close For Good This Summer

Our Las Vegas Strip continues to evolve. Of course, by now you know The Mirage is transforming to become The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. There will be a humongous guitar-shaped hotel on The Strip.

So, with that transformation, there is a great deal of construction to be done on the property. The Mirage Showroom is one of the property’s locations which will be undergoing construction beginning this summer.

According to an article by John Katsilometes on ReviewJournal.com, “The Beatles Love” by Cirque du Soleil will close for good by July 7, 2024. Furthermore, this is not a decision being made by the show’s producers. It’s a decision from the operators of what will soon be The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Cirque du Soleil Has Closed Other Shows Recently

Although there is no word at this point about whether or not “The Beatles Love” will move to another Las Vegas venue, its closing will be the third Cirque du Soleil production to shut down in the past four years.

Per the ReviewJournal.com, the other Cirque du Soleil shows which have closed in recent years include “R.U.N.” at The Luxor, and “Zumanity” at New York – New York Hotel and Casino.

However, Cirque du Soleil still has five productions running on the Las Vegas Strip. You can still catch amazing productions such as “’Mystere’ at Treasure Island, ‘O’ at Bellagio, ‘Ka’ at MGM Grand, ‘Michael Jackson One’ at Mandalay Bay, and ‘Mad Apple’ at New York – New  York.’”

The article by Katsilometes goes on to quote some amazing statistics about what it takes to produce the “The Beatles Love” show. For example, there are over 11,000 costume pieces. In addition, 250 pairs of shoes are needed as well as 225 wigs. Sadly, the 230-member cast and crew will all be losing their jobs this summer too.

It’s been an incredible run for “The Beatles Love” on the Las Vegas Strip. Catch it if you can before it closes for good.
