It’s coming up! Valentine’s Day. I’m single, so I don’t really have to go through the process of finding a gift, planning dinners or dates. A lot of you out…

It's coming up! Valentine's Day. I'm single, so I don't really have to go through the process of finding a gift, planning dinners or dates. A lot of you out there do go through this, and it can be very stressful for some. Well if you're close to that special someone, and they know how to laugh at random things; this gift may be perfect for you!

What's That Smell?

If you're a fan of hippos, their poop is considered the cologne of the hippo world. They use their poop to impress other hippos and potentially be their mates, according to CBS News.

The San Antonio Zoo has taken that wonderful smell of hippo poop and made it into a candle. It's inevitable: Any scent can be made into a candle. The zoo can't promise that your significant other will be in a love spell with you after you light it. They also can't promise the opposite sex will flock to you, but they did provide this just in case you'd like to give it a try.

Love Smell At An Affordable Price

The San Antonio Zoo is offering this hippo-poop scented candle from now until Feb. 18. If you're looking for a cheap way to get a gift then you're also in luck. It comes in at a price of $14.99. The scent is captured from their famous hippo at the zoo...Timothy.

The candle is produced by The Stinky Candle Co., who collaborated with the zoo to offer this aphrodisiac -- if you will.

Personally, if you're going the candle route, I'd stay clear of this. Why? Imagine you giving this to your loved one and the first thing they think is, "You think I'm a Hippo?" Not a good look! Maybe stick to the regular scented candles?

5 Affordable & Fun Valentine’s Date Nights In Las Vegas

So many people come to Las Vegas, from near and far, to spend Valentine's Day. A lot of tourists come in for a romantic staycation. And many locals use the holiday as a reason to get dressed up and head to one of our many world-class restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip. With all the local options we have, romance in Sin City isn't hard to come by. Especially if you're willing to break out the wallet.

But if you really want to make your Valentine's Day memorable, even the most romantic, expensive meal in Vegas might not be enough.

Yes, romance is great. And essential in every relationship. But, thanks to those cheesy romance films, many people think that's all that it takes to create a long-lasting match. But it's just not true. Romance alone isn't enough if you want something that will last the test of time. What really gets couples through those more challenging parts of a relationship is laughter. Having fun together.

So, if you're planning a Valentine's Day date for your partner in Vegas this year, don't stop at dinner and flowers. Throw in something fun for the two of you to do for the holiday as well. Though, with price inflations on Valentine's Day alone, you could break the bank trying to keep up. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Here is a list of places in town that are offering a special, affordable menu for Valentine's Day. And since you'll have cash left over in the budget, I've thrown in ideas for something in the nearby area you can do to make the night fun as well as romantic.

Nothing super fancy. Just simple ideas for those of us who don't need to spend a ton or have glitter thrown at us for what is, at the end of the day, another hallmark holiday. And, as I do, I kept it to places off of the Strip. Because you don't need to add chaos to your Valentine's Day plans.

But if you do decide to go more all out than this to make Valentine's Day memorable this year, no judgement here. It's still cheaper than couples counseling. - Wendy Rush, 96.3 KKLZ

Valentine's Tower at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas

Nutella Crêpes mit Erdbeeren

Nutella Crêpes mit Erdbeeren

Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas is offering a fun twist for their Valentine's Day menu. Instead of a heart-shaped steak and chocolate lava cake, their Valentine's Tower is three layers of beef tenderloin with green peppercorn sauce and French fries, Shrimp Provençale with angel hair pasta, and grilled chicken breast, with rosemary jus, spätzle and spring vegetables. Make it even more festive with the Nutella Crepes for dessert and the Cupid's Kiss cocktail.

And, of course, all of this food romance will be surrounded by the music and fun energy that comes with the Hofbräuhaus. So you won't even have to go anywhere after dinner to add the laughs to the night.

Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Summerlin is offering a Sizzle-and-Sip Dinner for Two on Valentine’s Day. It starts at $70.95 and includes dinner, dessert, and a shareable margarita. Awwww! It's like Lady and the Tramp but with alcohol. Adorable.

But don't let the night end there. Head over to another hot spot in Downtown Summerlin for some fun crafts that you can make to commemorate the holiday. Corks 'N Crafts has all kinds of options. From paintings to dishes and everything in between. Make something for each other to take home. This is a great Galentine's Day idea too!

I love this option because it's a little bit of romance and a little bit of fun. First, enjoy one of two Valentine's Day meal options at Arizona Charlie's on February 14. River Rock Pizza & Pasta at the Decatur Arizona Charlie's is offering an Italian prix fixe meal for two for $95. And the Sourdough Café at both locations is offering a specialty three-course meal for just $18.99. After dinner, head over to enjoy a game of Bingo. They have daily sessions every odd hour until 11pm.

Dinner & Fun at Southpoint

Southpoint Hotel, Casino & Spa has all kinds of options for Valentine's Day this year. Five of their restaurants are offering special menus at various price points.

Starting at $17.95 per person for a 3-course meal at the Coronado Café. Which includes choices like Grilled Chicken Breast Coronado and Crab-Stuffed Filet of Salmon. The most expensive of the five restaurants is the Silverado Steakhouse at $64 per person for a 4-course meal. That menu includes the Marry Me Chicken? dish and the Lovers Surf & Turf. Baja Miguel's, Primarily Prime Rib, and Don Vito's also have menus planned for this Valentine's Day. For $27.95 per person, $45 per person and $49 per person, respectively.

And for the fun part of the date, Southpoint also has various options without even leaving the hotel. How about some dancing after dinner? Deja Vu Dance & Show Band is performing in the Grandview Lounge from 6-8pm on February 14th. $10 ticket comes with a drink and reserved seat. The casino also offers 7 bingo sessions daily. There's the movie theater and bowling alley. Or you could book a couple's spa session at their Costa Del Sur Spa and Salon. And, bonus, they offer 20% off to locals.
