Don't Knock Em Till You Try Em:
Everyone makes fun of Crocs, until they put them on their feet. That's when they find out just how comfortable these delightfully ugly shoes are.
It happened to me about 20 years ago. A friend of mine bought me a pair, for fun. I've had them ever since. And I've bought more, cause they're like foot pillows.
Crocs have tapped into every market. There are casual, flip-flops, deck, and even dressy Crocs now - and it's ok to like them.
It's Hip To Be Square:
Many years ago some dopes started the "I Hate Crocs" movement. Too bad, because they're quite the cultural phenomenon now. People love them. You even see them on fashion runways occasionally.
Crocs are already ugly. It's part of the appeal, in a way. So why not make them even uglier?
Shrek Crocs Already A Must Have:
New Crocs that look like SHREK are the coolest footwear you can own. But no one has a pair yet. They'll hit the Crocs website on Wednesday, and they'll cost $50 for kid's sizes, and $60 for adults.
The Crocs have already gone viral after photos hit the internet just this week. According to PostImages.org, they've been a top-trending search this week. For something no one even owns yet.
They're normal lime-green Crocs. But the back-strap is furry, so it looks like Shrek's brown vest. And they come with Jibbitz you stick in the top that look like his ears and nose. Here's a picture. They're pretty cool.
It's not clear why they're doing it now, but rumor has it a fifth installment of the franchise is in the works. The original "Shrek" movie came out over 20 years ago in 2001.
Here's to hoping they do a series of Shrek Crocs. Now - who wants waffles?
