Las Vegas is about to have one more entertainment venue to choose from.

Vegas is no stranger to celebrities setting up camp for their namesake business. But this one is unique. It's not another celebrity chef restaurant or a headlining show in a major hotel. This one is a miniature golf course venue. Backed by one of the most famous and successful golfers in history, Tiger Woods.

Woods founded his PopStroke chain in 2019. Headquartered in Florida, it's a golf and entertainment venue that is infused with technology. That means it is able to offer what other mini golf venues can't. Like an app players can use to keep score as well as order food and beverages to have delivered to their course.

Woods is planning to open 13 new PopStroke locations before the end of the year. And the Las Vegas location will be the first in Nevada. It breaks ground on August 16th in Town Square, casino.org reported. The address will be 6605 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Which is currently where the west parking garage is located.

The new PopStroke location will cover three acres of land. There will be two putting greens, each with 18 holes. Designed by Tiger Woods and his design team, TGR Design, each green is designed to have miniature replicas of the types of characteristics on a traditional golf course. Including fairways, roughs and bunkers (casino.org).

PopStroke in Las Vegas will also offer a full service restaurant, bar, and an ice cream parlor. The restaurant will be two stories. And in addition to miniature golf, patrons will have outdoor game options. Including cornhole and foosball. Which patrons can play while enjoying the outdoor dining space.

The new venue will also be another option for Las Vegas locals and tourists to book for corporate events and birthday parties. The PopStroke website indicates it is scheduled to open early 2024.

Two Southern Nevada Golf Courses On List Of America’s Best

It's not just gambling, strip clubs and headlining shows Las Vegas is known for anymore.

People come from all over to Las Vegas for the numerous amenities we offer. World class restaurants, some of the longest-running shows in the country, and more gambling than you can shake a slot machine at. But there's one amenity that's often overlooked by those not particular for the sport. Golfing. Las Vegas is home to some of the best golf courses in the country. And we have over 50 courses for locals and tourists alike to enjoy. That's enough to visit a different one every week for nearly a year.

Golf roots in Las Vegas go back decades.

And this isn't a new hobby Sin City has found. Golf has been a staple in Las Vegas since the Rat Pack made it a favorite part of their lifestyle. The National Golf Club in Las Vegas first opened in 1961 a(under the name "Stardust Country Club") and was a favorite for all four members of the Rat Pack.

Stories have been told about the musicians playing a round or two and then spending their evenings in the bar. Enjoying the cuisine, drinking at the bar, and entertaining friends with their music. And when it comes to golf itself, rumor has it Peter Lawford and Dean Martin were the two best players of the bunch.

The current landscape of golf in Southern Nevada.

Fast forward sixty years and the game still brings people from all over to Las Vegas and beyond. Southern Nevada even outside of Sin City has some impressive courses. In fact, one of the top 10 in the country that was just named by Home To Go is in Mesquite. Another is right here in our Las Vegas back yard.

From professional golf competitions to bachelor parties, Las Vegas courses are a must-do on any golfers bucket list. Home To Go recently ranked the best courses in the country. Here are the top ones in or near Southern Nevada.
