Find out why did Carla Rea Get "U's" on her report card? It's the end of another school year and as kids get their report cards. We reminisce and find out why did Carla Rea got "U's" on her report card. The Mike & Carla Morning Show had a flashback this morning talking about getting their report cards at the end of the school year. Believe it or not, at one time, they just gave out "S's" and "U's" as a grading system. It stood for "Satisfactory" or "Unsatisfactory"!

It was simple, basic, and gave parents an idea of where your son or daughter really stood in the class. They also gave out the typical "A's, B's & C's", but to keep you honest, that's where the "S's" and "U's" came in. For Carla, it was troubling since she was a good student academically, but had the problem of talking a little too much! Really? for that, she kept getting "U's" in school.

"Carla just like to talk a little too much while in school!"

Not really that hard to explain to her parents since they were happy with her basic grades, but how do you suppress her one talent? It's what all of us as kids went through at one time or another. In fact that's apart of being a kid right? Not being able to sit still, you want to talk! How could you even put a grade on that? Well guess what...they did!

Now Mike O'Brian was happy being an average kid...meaning "C's" were his claim to fame. Trying to explain to his Dad the lack of ambition to be "above average" with B's and A's, school wasn't always easy! But, he never failed a grade and graduated high school with the rest of his class!

Morty on the other hand, a little sneakier! With his friends, always headed to the basement to unseal the envelopes that held his fate. He would actually use steam to open the envelopes that held his fate. Once it looked okay or any changes were need, they would seal the envelopes back up!

All in a days work for kids...although it might be different now. Just listen to the segment and see if you can relate and enjoy!
