What Is Being Banned At Schools In Las Vegas
If there aren’t enough problems in our schools, guess what is being banned at county schools in Las Vegas? That’s what came up this morning on The Mike & Carla Morning Show brought this up this morning to see what parents would say. Actually it’s the Federal Government that’s thinking about imposing a ban on chocolate milk.
Keep in mind, some school districts have already imposed the ban on chocolate milk at the elementary and middle school levels. Boston is one city that has already done it. Could it be next for the school district in Clark County?
Is banning chocolate milk in schools really the answer?
People in favor, say that it could keep our children healthier and lower the chances of diabetes in kids. Those opposed, say that chocolate milk is still a benefit because of all the calcium, potassium and vitamin D! And the bottom line, if they don’t have the chocolate milk as an option, they might not drink milk at all.
At this point in time, high schools will still be able to stock it, but that’s where the gravy train ends. Oh, that’s all we need, high schoolers selling chocolate milk to the younger kids on the street corners. (LOL)
With that in mind, some parents didn’t see the problem with chocolate milk in the schools. Some thought there were other items they might look at. On The M&C Morning Show, Carla Rea was always fearful they would take away “Fudgesicle Fridays”!
Not so fast Carla, the “snack shack” was also brought up this morning. A few parents thought that an abundant of candy was more harmful. Nonetheless, check out the segment from this morning and see if there’s anything that comes to mind for you!
We all realize the problems in schools today. You would think chocolate milk would be the least of our worries…enjoy!
