Top 5 Cities That Care; Clearly Las Vegas Does Not

It's a hard fact to swallow, but a recent survey named the Top 5 cities that care. Clearly, Las Vegas doesn't care enough...about anything! According to a recent survey, the results put out by WalletHub, shows that Las Vegas just doesn't have a heart! The survey looked at 100 major cities in the country. It was all based on donations, volunteering, and more.

Considering all this, it was amazing what cities did show up near the top and what cities didn't. For example, a city like Philadelphia...the "City of Brotherly Love", not even in the Top 25! Even more surprisingly, 3 out of the Top 5 were cities back east. Now we know, we shouldn't assume that only small Midwest towns are the most "caring" or the friendliest, but it was kind of interesting to see the east coast well represented.

Have to be honest, that The Mike & Carla Morning Show were a little surprised looking down this list. When it comes to Nevada though, Las Vegas wasn't the only city that did not do well in the "caring" department. North Las Vegas bottomed out at #81 on the list, Henderson doing a bit better coming in at #55!

In regard to Las Vegas, it seemed a little surprising to us that our fair city didn't rank a bit higher. In fact, a lot higher for that matter...c'mon, we care, we have a heart. Maybe the fact that it only shows when it needs to show. Over the past couple of weeks, it's been a tough time here in our city. And don't think for one moment everyone in the city banded together and showed an outpouring of concern and care.

But after looking over the article, it takes more than showing care and concerning only during those tough times. We think they mean 24/7...and even though we are a 24-7 type of city, we have to make more of an effort on all fronts to show that our city is always putting it's best foot forward!

Well, with all that said, Las Vegas comes in at #70 on the list. A little bit better than North Las Vegas, but not quite as well as Henderson...of course! Let's do it though...let's find out the Top 5 cities that truly care. Scroll down to see if your hometown made it!

Coming in at #5 is the beautiful city of San Diego! The people that live there love to give, they care and show up for any event that can help others. And why wouldn't they, the weather is awesome year round! Congrats SD!

Got to be honest, this one surprised up a bit. But, it seems New Yorker's really do care about others. For this reason, the biggest city in the country comes in at #4 on the list! Congrats to the Big Apple!

Now here's a town that might be worthy as well, making the list at #3. Any city with BEACH in it, how can you live there and not care? It seems to go hand in hand that the people of this fine city are very caring! Congratulations to Virginia Beach!

This one is also a shocker to us out here in the west, but clearly there's something to be said for the city of Boston! They clearly show up and show out when it comes to caring for their fellow man! Enough so, the city came in at #2 on the list...and that's AWESOME!

Don't look now, but here ya go...a salute to the great city of Madison, Wisconsin! The #1 most caring city in the country. Not really that much of a surprise when you think about it. It's a great Midwest city, college town and has a lot going on. People in Madison actually care and prove it each and everyday!
