Disneyland Resort during the holiday season is truly magical!
When you walk through the Disneyland resort, you’re welcomed with streets adorned with colorful, twinkling, and non-stop holiday décor, and there’s a feeling of jubilant energy buzzing through the air.
The Disneyland Festival of Holidays is an amazing collection of events and themes that honor holiday traditions from different cultures across the globe. I was able to enjoy some of the holiday happenings at the park this past weekend. And I had a ball!
I enjoyed, and danced to, music – with Goofy, Pluto, and a cop – from the Mariachi Divas, Phat Cat Swinger and other fun seasonal performances that you can only experience at Disney. The park embraces different traditions with events also honoring Diwali and Hanukkah.
One of my favorite parts of my Disneyland trip was the Vintage Holiday Vistas. This part of the park transforms into a festival sight, straight from a 1930s Hollywood movie. The music and ambience of the entire street transported you to a vintage paradise of festive glamour.
Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle was a beautiful sight to see. Sparkling lights and ornamented wreathes dressed the castle’s exterior. It’s a peaceful when entering the decorated structure.
The Haunted Mansion, as usual – and as we’ve come to expect – is also donned with frightful festive touches inspired by Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Decorated by Pumpkin King Jack Skellington, surprises await those who enter the Haunted Mansion with thrilling sights, and fun Halloween town characters, to inject some screaming seasonal greetings for you!
The food is a whole other level during the holidays season at Disneyland, which makes it even more special. It’s safe to say that I ate my weight (and walked many extra steps) with the Disneyland’s Sip and Savor Pass, which let me sample a variety of different foods and beverages. The Sip and Savor Pass is about $40, and well worth it! Can you say “hot buttered rum?” With actual butter. Heaven on EARTH!
