Aerosmith: Whether you refer to them as “The Bad Boys from Boston,” “America’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band” or both, we can all agree that the rock genre wouldn’t be the same without them.

Their catalog is loaded with hits and timeless classics and their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career is one that bands only dream of. To celebrate the wonder that is Aerosmith, here are their top 50 greatest songs.

But First, The Latest on Aerosmith

Aerosmith is still on a bit of a hiatus. In September 2023, the band was forced to postpone their “Peace Out” farewell tour due to issues related to a vocal cord injury sustained by Steven Tyler.

The band shared in a statement, “Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”

The band noted, “He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”

Tyler added in his own personal statement, “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can!”

In November 2023, Tyler shared via social media “Throat’s on the mend, but my ears still work! So, in the meantime, it’s studio time. Starting re-mixing Aerosmith Aerosmith.”

When Tyler mentioned “re-mixing Aerosmith Aerosmith,” it sounds like a reissue of the band’s self-titled debut album could be in the works. This could be part of their catalog and archive deal with Universal Music Group (UMG), which was announced in August 2021.
