4 Non Blondes Reuniting for First Show in 30 Years
4 Non Blondes will make their return to the stage for the first time in 30 years.
The Linda Perry-led band, best known for their song “What’s Up?”, will be performing at the 2025 BottleRock Napa Valley Festival. Headlining the festival taking place May 23-25 are Green Day, Justin Timberlake, and Noah Kahan.
In an interview with Allison Hagendorf, Perry said about the timing of the 4 Non Blondes reunion, “It’s more like, honestly, it’s the right time in my head … I’ve been kind of putting that energy out, because I want 2025 to be my year. I want to own this year because I feel like I’ve been planting seeds all over the place and I’m watching my little trees grow.”
4 Non Blondes released their lone studio album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More!, in October 1992, which features the aforementioned “What’s Up?”. The album sold over 1.5 million copies, but the band broke up in 1994. Despite the breakup, “What’s Up?” has endured, with its music video amassing over 1.8 billion views on YouTube.
In the decades since the breakup of 4 Non Blondes, Perry has made a name for herself as an in-demand songwriter and producer. Perry was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015. Some of the hits she’s written include Pink’s “Get the Party Started,” Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful,” and Gwen Stefani’s “What You Waiting For?”.
