New Henderson Restaurant Will Be Popular Spot For Locals
A new Henderson restaurant is planning to open next month, and it’s sure to be a new favorite among locals. Called Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails, the new venue will be located on the corner of Eastern Avenue and Horizon Ridge Parkway in the Smith’s Shopping Center. In the outer corner unit where D’Avolio Pizza used to be.
The new restaurant was announced earlier this year with an original opening date of March. Due to permitting hurdles, however, it got pushed back. The project is back on track now and the new opening date is scheduled for May 18, 2024.
Details About the New Henderson Restaurant
Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails will be a place that lives up to its name. A place for locals to go and socialize with friends and family. That also has the comforts of hanging out with your favorite people in your kitchen at home. Social Station’s website promises that the new restaurant will “pull on your heart strings and recreate the emotional attachments to your friends and family’s dinner table.”

The Menu At Social Station
The menu at the new restaurant will enhance the experience with offerings of elevated comfort food. Including savory meatballs, tacos, and tender short ribs. The American cuisine will be a welcomed addition to the area in Henderson that currently has many Asian and Italian restaurants.
One of the project’s founders, Kelley Jones, said that the way they came up with the menu was by asking over 100 people in their networking circles what their favorite comfort foods were. And then picking the most popular ones for the menu. But they won’t be your typical comfort food. It will be “elevated” American fare. Like their Macaroni and Cheese, which will be made with a four cheese blend, orecchiette pasta, and a bread crumb crust.
And though the food will be of the highest quality, it won’t come with the same kind of pretense you might find at fine-dining establishments. According to the Social Station website, the food at the new Henderson restaurant will be approachable yet not skimp on artful plate presentation. It will also have an affordable price point, with many of their appetizers under $10 and many of their entrees under $20. The restaurant will also feature a happy hour and a separate brunch menu on weekends.
The Atmosphere At Social Station
The atmosphere at Social Station will be just as comforting as the menu. The Henderson restaurant will offer a spacious 2500 square feet of indoor dining space plus a 10-seat bar. One wall is already featuring six television screens. Which will display sporting games during peak seasons, but will serve for the rest of the year as a visual art gallery for patrons.
The bar will feature craft beers and an American wine list. As well as specialty cocktails made with fresh seasonal ingredients. There will also be a patio dining terrace for those who prefer to do their socializing outdoors. Per Jones, the terrace will seat 16 people and be located under the arches in front of the restaurant.
For those who have been to D’Avolio Pizza, the remodel of the space will look a bit different. Beyond the terrace addition and decor changes, there is also new kitchen line and equipment. The new space will seat about 100 people for dining.
New Henderson Restaurant Is ‘For Locals By Locals’
Social Station is the second project by Leverage Hospitality Group. Whose founders, Kelley Jones, Todd Parmelee, and Steve Mannino are locals and longtime friends who have been in the restaurant industry for decades. Their first project is Emmitt’s Vegas at Fashion Show on the Strip. Another restaurant offering American comfort food and handcrafted cocktails with fresh ingredients.

What Leverage Hospitality Group brings to Emmitt’s, they will also bring to their new Henderson restaurant: an eye for detail and a passion for good food in an inviting atmosphere. But, unlike their first project, Leverage will bring much more focus on the comfortable and casual side of dining to Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails. With a place where “locals like to hang out, enjoy great food and connect with friends”, Jones said in an press release, “a modern-day Cheers.”
In a recent interview, Jones also said that all three of the partners behind the project live within six minutes of Social Station. It really is their neighborhood and they wanted to bring a true local place to the area. Jones said that currently there are a lot of Asian, sushi and Italian places or American chain restaurants. But nothing with American cuisine that’s truly local.
Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails is located at 10624 S. Eastern Avenue. They will open at 11 a.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends. The kitchen will stay open until 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
