Slone Terranella via BMG Las VegasRooftop bars in Las Vegas are always a good time.
From taking in the beautiful views on The Strip or Downtown, there's nothing quite like sitting on rooftop with a cocktail in hand. It's honestly quite magical to sip a smooth cocktail while gazing at the panoramic views of Vegas.
From having a "chill" atmosphere to transforming into a pure party environment, we have it all in Sin City. Here are my -- a Vegas local's -- favorite rooftop bars in Las Vegas that are perfect for any occasion.
Favorite Rooftop Bar Downtown - ZAI
ZAI is a bar and club that has Latin night on Tuesday and Sunday, Mexican Banda night on Wednesday and club DJs on Friday and Saturday that create the perfect environment for a night out.
Located at 700 Freemont Street, this is definitely a party-going spot in the heart of charming Downtown Las Vegas. However, if you're in the mood for something more serene and chill, the rooftop bar does have a happy hour from Friday - Sunday at 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. This is a more tranquil and clam setting before the nightclub pulsates with amazing music. You can sip cocktail and look at the sunset dipping into the horizon of downtown.
Ghostbar At The Palms Casino Resort
Ghostbar is a beautiful spot that most of the staff have attended. The inside is modern, sleek and beautiful. When you enter the outdoor portion of the bar, the breathtaking view of The Strip glitters with city lights, and you can see the entirety of the Vegas skyline.
The vibe is upscale, and the bar does turn into a "dance/lounge" later at night. It's the perfect spot for a celebration or date night.
Enjoy Downtown At Circa's Legacy Club
Located inside of Circa Resort & Casino, the Legacy Club is a magical place that makes the perfect backdrop to engagements, celebrations and private parties.
This cocktail spot offers a stunning view of the downtown Vegas skyline. The Legacy Club also offers a sunset package that consists of two handcrafted cocktails, a seat by the fireplace and a champagne toast at sunset. The Legacy Club is elegant, beautiful and curates the perfect vibes for a rooftop cocktail date.
Ranked: 9 Fun Dive Bars In Las Vegas You Have To Drink At
Dark, eerie and half way creepy is pretty normal when seeking out dive bars in Las Vegas. Creatures from all areas of town wobble their way in to get away from the loud chaos. Drinks are exceptionally cheap and the bartenders don't skimp on the alcohol pours. Many of the neighborhood bars have questionable bouncers outside that guard the door. ID checks are required but once you step inside you have entered a vortex in a new reality.
The dive bars in Vegas tend to have wobbly tables and dingy restrooms with stickers all over the walls. The light up beer signs and rows of alcohol bottles are typical bar décor. If you don't feel a little sticky then you're not in the right place. Some of these local hot spots have LIVE bands, karaoke, comedy shows and really fun theme nights. They also have weekly drink specials that you won't want to miss. $5 shots anyone? Don't hate on the bar food as some of these places serve up a quick plate to curve the hunger. Pizza, wings and cheeseburgers hit the spot after a late night of drinking.
The best part is that you meet the most interesting people with life stories that feel like they belong in a Lifetime movie. If you're into gambling some of the bars on this list feature video poker to kill some time. Tourists are welcomed but don't act out or you'll stand out. Parking tends to be available for most of these places but spots fill up fast. The DTLV dive bars most times charge for parking but the cheap drinks and fun atmosphere makes up for it.
