A Bottle Of Sriracha: Be Prepared To Spend High Prices
The rise in popularity for Sriracha in the past 10 years has blown up! It went from your normal chili sauce at your favorite Asian restaurant, to a must have in almost all households! People can’t get enough of the red, spicy, goodness.
Over the years, the company Huy Fong, who makes the red chili sauce, has run into a few road bumps along the way. From lawsuits to ingredient shortages.
Now, the company is having a hard time meeting it’s consumers demand for the chili sauce. They company is still experiencing a shortage of raw materials to make the rooster-chili sauce, especially the chilis. This has cause a huge influx in price, according to CNN.
BroBible reported that people are price gauging for the popular chili sauce. Prices on eBay as well as Amazon as high as $124 per two-pack. One twenty-eight ounce bottle is going for a whopping $70 each!
So if you’re looking to buy another bottle of Sriracha, you’re either gonna have to pay high resell prices or accept a lesser brand version of it. But if you know how people are, they need THE original. That will end up costing them.
Kansas City Neighborhood Hasn’t Received Their Mail In Months
A Kansas City neighborhood is fed up with the US Postal Service. Why? Because of a single dog.
The U.S. Postal Service has decided to halt service to the single neighborhood because there is a vicious dog in it. Problem is, the people of the neighborhood don’t even know if this dog actually exists!
UPI said in an article they put out, the service was halted on April 29th. The post office sent homes letters stating a “vicious dog” was causing unwanted/hazardous conditions. This prevents the mail delivery from happening. A local resident in the the neighborhood told UPI that “I walk my big dog every morning, and I don’t see a dog.”
Mark Inglett, who is the media relations person for the U.S. Postal Service has told UPI that mail service will resume because the dog situation has been resolved!
New TikTok Challenge Has People Stealing From Restaurants
Challenge is trending on TikTok. People are taping themselves stealing glasses, silverware and plates from restaurants.
The Hospitality Alliance tells Business Insider, “… People think it’s funny or cute, but for the most part these are small business owners struggling to recover from the pandemic.”
Some people are selling sporks, from Disneyland’s Star Wars Galaxy Edge attraction, for as much as $80. Many restaurants are now charging $1 to $2 more per dish and drink to cover the cost of stolen silverware and tableware.
