The VGK victory parade is over, and the Las Vegas Strip is back to its normal self – whatever that may mean.

You’d think VGK players might want to just take it easy for a bit, but – nope! they are still out in full force, thanking their loyal Las Vegas fans.

Vegas Golden Knight Jonathan Marchessault will be doing a meet-and-greet in Henderson, today. In an Instagram post, Marchessault announced that he would be at the Dicks Sporting Goods in Henderson Monday, June 19, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The store is located at 1308 W. Sunset Road.

Marchessault will be signing complimentary player/cheer cards or items purchased in the store. There will be 200 wristbands distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 a.m. Wristbands are required for the event, so get there early – and know that others will, too!

The Golden Knights forward was awarded the NHL’s Conn Smythe trophy after the Golden Knights defeated the Florida Panthers to win the 2023 Stanley Cup. According to the NHL, he was the first undrafted player to win the award since 1988 when Wayne Gretzky won it.

Marchessault’s journey to the Conn Smythe Trophy is a tale of resilience and determination. He was undrafted out of junior hockey, and was picked up by the Golden Knights in the expansion draft after being exposed, ironically, by the Florida Panthers.

Now, six years later, he has had sweet revenge with a Conn Smythe Trophy to his name and an amazing performance throughout the playoffs.

Speaking after Game 5 against the Panthers, Marchessault shared his joy at the Knights’ victory: “I’ve never had so much fun in my life,” he said, reflecting on his journey to the historic night in Vegas, and the Stanley Cup victory.

Golden Knights Captain Mark Stone held a meet-and-greet Sunday morning at Dick Sporting Goods in Henderson, and on Saturday VGK center Jack Eichel met with fans at Raising Cane’s.

Keep your eyes open, Las Vegas – you never know where you might run into a Knight!
