It's summer time and families are hitting the road. But when it comes down to it, what are the snacks you take on a road trip? On The Mike & Carla Morning Show it came up this morning and quite the variety!
Needless to say, there were some snacks that all people can agree on and that was Red Vines! However, that's where the similarities ended. Depending on how far you had to go or who else was in the car was a huge factor on what snacks were included.
What snacks do you bring on a road trip?
Salt was definitely a big factor in what snacks were in the car. Chips and pretzels got plenty of votes, as well as beef jerky. But all in all, what were your Top 3? Mike O'Brian listed Red Vines as #1 followed by some sort of trail mix and chips.
Carla Rea agreed with Red Vines being #1, but then went with Gold Fish and water. Now when it came to Morty, you're gonna have to listen to the segment to get what he packs for a road trip. He tends to be a little unusual about eating while on the road. It's not that he doesn't do it, but there is a system in place.
There was one other factor to consider when snacking on the road. The "time" element! If you're trying to make good time to wherever you might be headed, Morty's philosophy might not work!
But we all have our own list of snack we prefer in the car and on the road. This might also include flying and/or taking a train. It's that comfort snack you always have to have around. It might even be there in your house just so you have it handy.
All in all, put your list together and make sure that you have it ready. Summer is here and whether it's a road trip near of far, you're gonna want to have snacks. If not for you, for the kids if their in the car! Listen to the segment and you decide what snacks are needed...and enjoy!
