The star of "Laverne & Shirley", Cindy Williams passed away last week at the age of 75. A hit show on ABC that ran from 1976-1983 that starred Penny Marshall and Williams. It was a basic spinoff from the show "Happy Days" before a lot of people knew what a "spinoff"was.

Both shows of course were born from the movie "American Graffiti" that hit movie theaters in 1973. The movie had a cast of would-be stars including Harrison Ford, Ron Howard, Suzanne Sommers, Richard Dryfuss, and of course Cindy Williams

Williams also auditioned for the role of Princess Leia in the George Lucas movie "Star Wars". If you remember, George Lucas was also the director of "American Graffiti". Clearly it was all a very tight knitted group of actors and friends!

The Cindy had a list of credits from other t.v. shows after "Laverne & Shirley" including, "Law and Order: SVU", "8 Simple Rules", and much more. She also appeared in a few movies as well including "Rude Awakening", "More American Graffiti" and others.

The last time Williams was in Las Vegas, she was starring in "Menopause; The Musical" and The Mike & Carla Morning Show had the chance to have her on the show. Although she was very proud of the production, most of the time was spent talking about the t.v shows.

Nothing but kind words for all of her friends and co-stars, but when it came time to admit to any "hook-ups", Williams said she did go out on a date with David Lander, who played "Squiggy" on "L&S". However, she did admit who the best kisser was in that close circle of friends and you might be a little surprised at who she named.

She was great and very delightful despite M&C trying to get her to talk dirt about her former co-stars. Nonetheless, take a couple of minutes, enjoy the visit and reminisce with one of television's great actors from a show that brings back nothing but great memories!
