The holiday season is upon us, and we are starting off with Thanksgiving this week.
Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Football games on television. Lots of friends and family with whom we celebrate. Sometimes, those family celebrations can get a little intense. I guess it just depends on if your family likes to point out your faults whenever you see them or talk to them. Hopefully, you and your family and friends like to celebrate by actually giving thanks and being kind to each other.
Traveling during the Thanksgiving holiday can be very tough, especially if you have to fly to your destination. I tried it once and vowed I would never do it again. Delayed flights, missed Thanksgiving dinner, had to eat left overs, missed the football games and the celebration. And it cost me an arm and a leg.
I love comedy. I really admire the talent of great stand-up comics. I think what they do is incredible. On the radio, I do what I do in a closed-door studio. I never see the audience. Stand-up comedians have to make people laugh while they are looking them right in the eye. It’s do or die. It takes guts, and great comedic chops.
So, I thought I would share some great stand-up comedy with you every Monday. Why? Because it’s Monday! Everyone could use a good laugh on Monday. So, here we go with our next installment. Check out these eleven comedians on Dry Bar Comedy with great comedy touching on just about every aspect of Thanksgiving. Enjoy!
