As of today, the Automobile Association of America (AAA) reports that U.S. gas prices have hit a national average of over $5.00 per gallon for the first time. And we all know that they're even higher here in the Las Vegas valley. A year ago, the national average was hovering around $3.00 per gallon. Experts say the reason gas prices are so high, and may go even higher due to summer demand and other world-wide factors.
