Not sure why you might go to a Barnes and Nobles, but today is National "Book Lover's" Day, so kick back and read a book today.  The Mike & Carla Morning Show mention this because it came up that a lot of us need to take time to rest and relax. According to recent studies, 42% of your time should go toward resting...your mind, your body! That's what they say might be needed to re-charge and avoid "burnout" at work and at home!

So if you do the math, that's just a bit over 10 hours a day...so figure this, if you get 8 hours of sleep, you'll still have enough time to eat, get in some exercise, and even leave you time to have a social life! Not bad right?

Even more important is that if you can spread it out over a few days, that gives you even more time to re-charge and rested for those other activities that are so important to you. One key to relaxing is not to try and jam everything into one day. The name of the game is "relax"...whether it's reading a book, listening to your favorite music, of just having some "alone time"!

For me, taking a bicycle ride around The Lakes area or even venturing off to the "republic" of Summerlin to re-energize. Think of all the ways you can relax living in Las Vegas and the state of Nevada. The hiking, biking, the sites and sounds of our city, or maybe just finding a nice park and poppin' a squat with a good book.

If you think about it, there's no reason to over stress about anything living here...or when you do, then take the time for yourself and just getaway. Whether it's to Mt. Charleston to Lake Mead, to a nearby park or library for a bit of quiet.

Looking for relaxation, then you do you, find you peace and enjoy it! Scroll down to see the Top 5 places you should consider to relax...especially on the weekends here in Las Vegas!
