Group Therapy: Is A Bologna Sandwich A Bad Thing For Lunch?
Here we go with another session of “Group Therapy” asking the questions if a bologna sandwich is a bad thing for a school lunch? That’s the topic that came up this morning with The Mike & Carla Morning Show.
A distressed mother emailed the show saying that she had been shamed by another mom who found out she was sending her daughter to school with bologna sandwiches for lunch. Even going as far to call her a “bad” mom!
So, that’s what we wanted to know this morning…was she a “bad” mom for giving her daughter bologna sandwiches? Right off the bat, we come to find out that mom making her lunch for school eliminated the “bad” from her mom title!
Is Giving A Kid A Bologna Sandwich For A School Lunch Really That Bad
And the fact that the kid wasn’t complaining and truly eating the lunch she was given was another good sign. The general consensus was that it was all good! In fact, we found out that when trading lunches at school or otherwise, these sandwiches hold their value!
Of course, that’s what we were looking for, what cafeteria cred do these sandwiches hold? Now one woman was totally against the whole thing saying that the meat was bad and if the mom cared anything about her child’s health, she would stop immediately!
On the other hand, one listener said let the kid eat what she likes and pointed out she’ll have plenty of time to get healthy. The M&C Morning Show loved that philosophy and encouraged the mom to continue to give the kid what she liked.
But it was impressive on how many listeners got involved in the “therapy” session this morning. One guy even shared his story while in the “tank” he found out what others were willing to trade for a bologna sandwich.
If you’d like to go one step further, JAHZkitchen did a great article on all the ways you can prepare a bologna sandwich for yourself or your kid!
Hey, it’s all in good fun and hopefully we shared our positive thoughts with mom making sure she knew she wasn’t a “bad” mom!
