Las Vegas Parking Tickets Can Be Paid With Teacher Donation
You’re in luck if you have Las Vegas parking tickets. The city is allowing poor suckers who let their meter run out to pay their fine without giving the city a dime.
The City Of Las Vegas announced that they are bringing back a feel good favorite in support of the Public Education Foundation. Violators who get a parking ticket between May 1st through June 14th will be able to pony up by donating new school supplies worth as much (or more) than the fine within 30 days of receiving the ticket. They’ve done the promotion before, and we are here for it.
The Deal Is For Las Vegas Parking Tickets, Not Moving Infractions
You got popped for a red light violation? They’ll laugh your Five Star notebooks out of court. The deal only works for the violations seen below, but considering all of them cost over $100 plus costs, you’ll be saving a pretty penny.
- Abandoned vehicle
- After-hours park parking
- Bus/Taxi zone only
- Commercial vehicle/tour busses only
- Loading/unloading zone
- Meter runs out of time
- Registration not displayed
- Restricted time zone
- Taking two spaces
- etc…
A Great Organization Benefits From The Promotion
All kidding aside, this is a great way to turn vinegar into honey. The beneficiary is the Public Education Foundation, who will then take the donations and supply the PEF Teacher Superstore.
That store allows educators who are often on the hook for much of their supplies over the course of a year to shop at the store for a fraction of the cost of retail. The $26 membership asked of the teacher will result in literal hundreds of dollars worth of paper, crayons, markers and more.
So the next time you see Golden Nugget trying to charge $40 for parking, maybe find a metered spot nearby and let it lapse. You’ll be giving back to a great cause with your Las Vegas parking tickets. Or, of course, you could make a donation directly and pay the meter too.
