Frasier is back and he’s as snooty as ever! We told you about the Frasier reboot series in the works last summer. In fact, we posted a strangely dark teaser trailer at that time that generated lots of interest because it was so “un-Frasier” like. See it for yourself by clicking here.

Now, Here’s The New Teaser Trailer For The Frasier Reboot Series

The streaming channel Paramount+ has ordered a 10-episode first season of the Frasier reboot sitcom. That’s according to James Hibbard of the HollywoodReporter.com. This reincarnation of the popular Frasier series and TV character brings him back to Boston to reunite with his son, Freddy. Henceforth, here’s the new trailer from YouTube.

As you can see, Frasier is as snooty as ever. Actor Kelsey Grammer will be joined by a new cast of actors in the reboot. Firstly, Jack Cutmore-Scott will play Frasier’s grown-up son, Freddy. Secondly, Nicholas Lyndhurst portrays Frasier’s old college-buddy Alan, who is now a college professor. Thirdly, actress Toks Olagundoye plays Olivia, the head of the psychology department at the university. Additionally, Jess Salgueiro portrays Freddy’s roommate Eve, and Anders Keith takes the role of Frasier’s nephew David.

The Hollywood Reporter article goes on to point out that, at this point, there are only two other characters from the original Frasier who will make regular appearances on the reboot. Actress Bebe Neuwirth, Frasier’s ex-wife Dr. Lilith Sternin, will make some guest star appearances. Furthermore, actress Peri Gilpin who played Frasier’s radio producer Roz Doyle in the original series, will also guest star from time to time.

The original Frasier aired for 11 seasons on NBC, winning more Emmy awards than any television show in history at that time. Those 37 awards are still the most for any TV sitcom in history. Although HBO’s Game Of Thrones now has more Emmys in its trophy case.

Here’s When You Can Watch The New Frasier On Paramount+

The Frasier reboot series will premiere on Thursday, October 12th. In fact, Paramount+ will play two episodes back-to-back that night. Subsequently, they’ll stream one new episode a week on Thursdays. Moreover, parent company CBS will air back-to-back episodes of the Frasier reboot on Tuesday October 17th for those who may not subscribe to Paramount+.

If you’re a big fan of the original Frasier, and even the character Frasier on the sitcom Cheers, then I’m sure you’ll at least be tuning in when CBS shows those two episodes. In that manner, you can see if you want to subscribe and catch more episodes streaming on Paramount+. Hey, if the reboot has half the laughs of the original Frasier, then consider it a success. Because the original is going to be hard to top.
